Behaviour of the staff and the breakfast are the most noted things at this hotel.However, this hotel was so comfortable that I felt worse not staying here earlier. The staff are so courteous that you feel like smiling all the time. The breakfast was very good- a good combination of south-north Indian as well as continentals. If you was luxury in an affordable price, go there.

Rooms are good and clean but little bit far away from the city. breakfast is okay but feel that they could have included some varieties and different items on alternative days.The road condition from the main road to the hotel was not good. overall good place to stay calm.

Location - 500 mtrs from highway. There is no road for these 500 mtrs. Safe for groups but I didn't recommend for couples or solo. Main city is near but you feel alone at night time. Rooms - Executive rooms are good and have a balcony. Deluxe rooms are cozy. Service - Not upto mark. On our second day when we demand for change of bed sheets the staff gives us the bedsheet and said that staff is not available to change them, so you have to do it yourself. Extra service - Charged Rs. 400 per day for heater which cost Rs. 3000 itself. Food - No restaurant of own and not one nearby. Free breakfast - They are providing it as a formalty only. Very very bad. One morning we keep on sitting for more than half hour and no one come to look if we need anything.

Just avoid booking this else you will spoil your holiday. They are very unprofessional. I second all the bad reviews given by people before me on this thread. Interestingly even after repeated bad reviews and commitment from the management to look into the matter since 2018 nothing has changed here. Everything is on the whims and fancies of the staff. Given below are some pointers: - rooms do not have a standard arrangement. Some deluxe rooms have a kettle the other doesn't even have a proper bed, let alone the kettle. It has iron cots. - cockroaches in the tea flask - we had ordered separate milk with black tea. They gave us milk which had gone off. It was sour milk. This was our morning tea. - complimentary breakfast has only idli which repeats itself everyday. - tea is served in dirty broken mugs. - we had to leave for Conoor early morning for which we had asked the hotel to book a cab for 9.30. No cab arrived till. No one followed up, no infirmation. No handover to the new person after change of duty. Finallyafter lot of uncomfortable exchabge of words we got a cab after one hour. Very dissatisfied and disappointed! Our last lap of holiday sucked.

I searched for the best rated hotel in whole of Ooty and the result shown was Vinu Valley Resorts. Without thinking twice, I go ahead and book the stay for two nights. The major reasons why I booked the room here are the proximity from Tiger Hill view point (As described in their website) and the views from the room's balcony. Only after reaching here I understand that there is no view point at all near by. I even venture out and ask all the locals and the only reply I get is the only view point here is Doddabetta peak and it is 11kms away. The views from the room are non existent. The road condition from the main road to the property is very very poor. The rooms are OKish but nothing as fancy as shown all over the web. The parking is open to sky and the vehicles have to drench in rain the entire night. Complimentary Breakfast contained just Idly and Upma in both the days we stayed. The hotels right next to this property charge you 1200-1500 bucks a night, so i don't understand why you have to pay 3000 here. Definitely not worth the money you pay. Avoid it!
