The Cedar Grand Hotel and Spa

We recently made our visit to this property around late November and happy to share that great hospitality demonstrated by the team in place; specially front desk team. Special thanks to Preeti who had the check-in made seamless and gave an auto-upgrade without even us putting down the request. Great views from the hotel rooms makes this place a perfect stop-over; and then have a walking trail to the mall road. Team has been excellent on the warm welcome, guidance around the near by spots received has been really appreciable. We had a very memorable stay. The food quality and breakfast has been good, thanks to Chef Anoop & his team for always having a smile no matter even if operating with a minimal capacity due to pandemic. Would recommend this property to all when plan to visit to Shimla. Thank you.

We stayed there from 3rd October to 6th October. It was pathetic experience. We called room service to brought a bowl and spoon for making baby cereal but they said it is chargeable, however at last they didn't charge it, moreover the staff of hotel directly denied to clean the car also. Receptionist always remain busy on their phone even they didn't wish their guest and their behavior was quite unfriendly. They provide less facilities with high charges. At last but not least it is not close to mall road and hotel doesn't have any shuttle service.

Worst food ever. The food quality was very Ned whether it’s Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. The food was tasteless. Even I feel that the curd provide was outdated In terms of room service I would term it okish only. Nothing special. Even for room servicing the water bottles were not provided since we didn’t provided key for room cleaning. Besides this my 1 yr old son had committed in the room- ( which is very usual in Shimla) the room service person ask for extra charge to clean mess. I just wanted to highlight here- that it’s not about money but the kind of harassment that we felt at that moment matters the most. Would never recommend any one to stay in this hotel. The value for money that I got here is 0

the hotel is good in the way of rooms and food but lady at the reception is terrible i had done the booking through a travel agent and they didn’t receive a part payment from them where i paid full they stop you from going and speaks to you rude very pleasant staff lady at reception the hotel must do something about ot

Dear Reader, We stayed in a family suite of this hotel for a night. I recommend to NOT waste your money. It is amongst the worst hotels I have been to in recent years. Hotel is absolutely in shambles and not worth a single rupee. If you do plan to stay in this hotel, please be prepared to face following issues :- 1. Centralized heating in master bedroom won't work. A single rod heater in a 16by12 ft bedroom will keep you cold and icy entire night. No resolution will be provided by hotel. 2. Toilet seat will be broken 3. Bathroom shower will not work as it is in ICU mode. 4. Bathroom may get auto-locked with no one inside it. So you won't have access to the only bathroom in family suite. You will need to ask someone from hotel to open it using a metal scale !!! 5. As you enter the room, you will get a pungent smell of phenyl. 6. You won't find any disposable bathroom slipper. You do find a reusable bathroom slipper which is too risky to use in Covid times. Overall, not worth a penny. Do not waste your money like I did.
