Amazing retreat with an outstanding staff.

We selected this place looking at the pictures and reviews and I am glad we selected this place. The place is situated in a quaint place in Mashobra in its own sublime surroundings. It’s on a hilltop which gives brilliant views of the valley. The rooms are spectacular and has great heating inside. It also is centrally heated so you don’t feel the chills of the winter. The staff are brilliant and always eager to serve you with 5 star standards. The god is also extremely delicious with a wide variety of food. The manager ant Nihal was always courteous and ready to help with the very onset of the bookings which made all our stay a breeze. This property is one of the better properties I’ve ever stayed and that’s coming from dorment who is very extensively travelled

Loved our family stay at this place. The staff was very cordial and efficient. The food and other services were also amazing and upto the mark. We stayed here twice, on our way and back from Spiti. The place was extremely quite and peaceful. and the view from the balcony was breathtaking.
Perfect hotel for a getaway in Shimla!

Been wanting to post a review ever since we got back. We had such a wonderful time in the retreat mashobra, we had chosen the balcony room and it was the best decision ever. The view was jus stunning. We just couldn’t get enough. The property is so so neat, spotless and so well managed, starting from booking to arrival to check out, there wasn’t a single hitch. Everyone in the property were helpful and courteous. Special mention to the yummy food, whether it was breakfast buffet or food we ordered in for room service.. everything was yummy. I think the highlight of our Shimla trip was that our stay in retreat was brilliant. Kudos for running such a beautiful place. Thank u for n amazing stay.
Extremely Quiet but Breathtaking

The hotel by itself is tastefully done with branded fittings which is rare to find in the hills. The location & the view from the hotel is breathtaking.. The service level is of the highest standard with extremely polite & attentive staff. Special mention for Gopal & all the management staff including Bhupesh, Nihal & Anupam. Food is exceptional which is a big plus.. Only thing is that this is a very very quiet place & there is not a lot of activity around the hotel but then Shimla etc is 30 - 40 minutes away. So if you like extreme peace & quiet then place may be ideal for you.

Visited Retreat for my wedding anniversary. I booked the Premium valley view room with Balcony and had travelled to Mashobra for just the view after two days stay in Shimla. I had requested for a room on the top floor via call 20 days and 1 day before the trip and placed the request via make my trip booking as well. I was allocated room on the 3rd floor with reason being that the rooms on top floors are already booked. For the hotel staff the view might be same from each floor as they live in Mashobra but they should try to understand the customers point of view as well who are travelling from far for a special day.
