I usually do not write reviews, but the experience was just amazing and the staff went beyond limits to make our stay as comfortable s possible. You ask for anything and the staff will arrange it ! Only drawback is the place is 4-5 kms from city center.
  • A hidden gem

The Kehloor, Udaipur We decided to take an impromptu break at Udaipur during our road trip from Bangalore to Jaipur. This sudden and unplanned decision had us hunting for a place to stay and that's when we came across this hidden gem in Udaipur - The Kehloor! The hotel is tucked in serene surroundings and is done up beautifully! As soon as you enter the lobby, you realise how each and every corner has been tastefully decorated. The hotel has something for everyone - For the reader, there's a quaint little library which has a good selection of books. For the foodie, there's a delicious spread of food.. Our favorites were the spring rolls and pizzas- they were finger licking good. For the romantic, there's a gorgeous roof top restaurant. Grab a place by the wall and not only do u dine under the stars.. You see a beautiful lake and get a glimpse of the forts and palaces of Udaipur. The staff is courteous and polite and they go all out to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The lake view rooms with their majestic furniture, beautiful balconies and bougainville plants almost have a Victorian feel to them. Also, the hotel is pet friendly. Something that was very important for us as we were traveling with our cocker spaniel puppy. A special thanks to Mr. Bhawani Chandel, for making our stay a memorable one. In a nut shell, whenever we visit Udaipur again, we definitely are going to The Kehloor. -Sunayana and Digvijay Singh Shekhawat
  • Quaint and peaceful

We stayed at the Kehloor in Jan end 2020. When you approach the hotel, it feels plain jane. But the moment you climb those stairs and enter the hotel, you feel an instant calm. Attached to a royal family, the interiors of the property are very classy and understated yet charming. The staff is very courteous and helpful. The rooms are again very nicely done (absolutely spic n span). I felt like carrying some of the furniture back with me! They have a beautiful restaurant with both indoors and outdoors seating options. There's a natural water body as well as the Sajjangarh Monsoon Palace that's visible from the restaurant, makes for a majestic view. The hotel has a small gym and a very cosy reading room. Doesn't have a garden or pool but we didn't really miss them. There was only one utter disappointment and that was the food. It's not just on the expensive side but also not upto the mark. We had lunch, dinner and breakfast there and somehow they just couldn't get their act together. The food taste & freshness, restaurant service and breakfast tea were quite underwhelming. Except for the beautiful soothing interiors, i would rate the restaurant experience at below par. It's definitely a place for someone who's looking for a quaint and peaceful getaway. I do feel the tariff can be on the lower side though.
  • Not worth the money

We stayed at this property for two days. After going through the reviews and pictures, I was really impressed but it’s not worth the money we have paid. We requested for room with balcony/view which wasn’t available. The room we got was not at all spacious, forget the view. No doubt the decor is beautiful and room looks elegant. They also provide basic amenities and have small space for parking(plot)behind the property.
  • Terrible! Plastic fork in omelette!

Checkin was smooth but in the room geyser was just for showoff. we got trouble taking bath in such cold weather. Next day morning in breakfast we got a plastic piece of fork in middle of our omelette, the waiter was also inside the kitchen we had to call him again n again for every order and complain. the staff in masala ministry (restaurant) is extremely unprofessional. We were the only guest in restaurant but the waiter could not even attend us. At time of checkout, there was no restaurant bill with receptionist, we had to wait for another 15 mins for check out formalities because of absence of bill. Next time we will never come here as our stay was ruined.
