Hotel Plaza Inn

In Dec'19, stay at Hotel Plaza Inn in Varanasi. It is very close to Varanasi Railway Station. Rooms are very good with all amenities like TV, small refrigerator, tea preparation kit, hot water, etc. Service is very good. In house restaurant and bar are also there.

This hotel is very convenient from the point of view of its nearness to railway station. But is situated in a narrow lane. Once you are in, it provides you with all good rooms, bathrooms, etc with dining halls etc. It does have lift and staff would take your luggage to your room. A TV with most prominent channels is available. Good reception hall and cloak room etc. There is one silk saree shop for those who might have missed a chance to buy one.

Rooms are small, where the at reception on enquiry say its double bedded room and not double room. provide Only one towel for couple, second towel is given only on asking every day. door mat at bathroom is full of sand/dirt/dust, not replaced even after asking during our stay of 10 days, so we put it aside. when we entered the room first time upon allotment the bath room was not kept cleaned and the toilet seat was soiled when asked to get it cleaned, they say the cleaning will be done only next day morning. Wifi password is not given despite requesting for the same every day. One day night reception people said its on payment basis @ Rs 100 per day. when asked day time reception people said wifi is full ( not able to understand what it means) and password will be given as and when vacancy arises. on some other day reception people said wifi is not working. AC is non functional Otherwise its ok to stay there as the transport facility available even in the middle of the night due to the location being nearer to the railway station. Room service available. Hot water available from 4 AM

The hotel is walking distance from railway station. The hotel building and other infrastructure is really good. It can be a premium hotel but the management has not invested on quality of service. They could not provide basic toiletries. Even the reception area seemed gloomy. My point being the hotel does not meet the expectations set by it's exterior. The restaurant's food is good.
