Everyone at the mermaid resort was just lovely to us We made special memories. As always, thank you. What a beautiful environment you get to work in every day….the resort and people all make it so very special. We stayed in an deep end villa 506 on the second floor Beyond the relaxing atmosphere of the villa, the next best part was the fantastic food and excellent service at the Main Restaurant. The breakfast buffet choices looks simple and has a great variety of food choices and the preparation made for superior tasting. The staff was very attentive, professional guided by the experience manager Mr Sebastin as back of sheraton for 15 years

My friends and I met there and we had a dinner rendezvous there. While my friends stayed back, we decided to return after a good 3-4 hour get-together. We saw the cottages out there and they are fantastic. Dinner served was great and every single item was well prepared and tasty. We were a gang of 12 members and thoroughly enjoyed our time out there. The ambience is superb, exteriors and layout well thought out and done. I will definitely recommend it for anyone going out there and staying.

We recently visited this resort for a family day out to celebrate our toddlers birthday! We were a family of 10 and had a blast! Their lunch buffet was a bit mediocre; not the greatest but few of the dishes were quite good! They have a basketball court, badminton and other indoor games like chess, carrom, etc. But we opted for more outdoorsy activities. Their swimming pool was the best with a little waterfall! We spent almost 3 hours in the pool during the day and it was very relaxing! We also ordered 2 kilos cake for our tod’s birthday and it was delicious! 👍🏻 A nice and perfect budget resort to spend a relaxing day with your family away from the city buzz!

Mermaid resort was the good choice. Locations is just 4 km from the kovalam beach. Around the resort you will get everything like local food, local market is there, chitchats and all. The resort is well maintained and good parking space. First of all, Reception staff welcomes us good with big smile. Chamber room we get is bit last and small but clean. Rooms like hoot are good. ah their breakfast is yummy still they have limited varieties. the food is bit overpriced compare to other resorts. Resort Manager is very kind and help us in all the way. Even the room cleaning staff also have their good manner. The real beauty of the resort come with big garden which have tennis and football area. we even play cricket there. their building are like kerala style so its attractive. Swimming pool was well maintained with falls decoration and even i get a cup of tea after i took bath in the pool. They have a deck where ducks are in water was wonderful view. Sitting there with a cup of tea in evening time was awesome. they have some birds and farm. Had a good time and will be back soon when i get free. Thanks for the Resort team.

An excellent property. Serene, peaceful, relaxed, greenish. But that is all, everything else is mediocre. Hence given only 1 star. I would have loved to visit this place again for its beautiful landscape but there is something missing in the way how the guests are treated. Rooms are not attractive for the price you pay. Note that the medium class room itself costs Rs 4000+. Small room, gets cramped if you have to access the almirah, broken almirah doors, cheap plastic chairs, cheap table, TV with some issues, Low quality bath room fittings, poor quality soap/shampoo etc, all of this makes it not worth the price. The cottage room what they call is a small and ugly thing, not sure why it is called as cottage. Too many mosquitos, and they do nothing about that. They could not give me a mosquito bat with which atleast I could have get rid of it by myselves. Restaurants takes atleast 45 minutes to serve, a simple tea ordered to the room would take atleast more than 30 minutes. There is no proper management chain. We saw at least 4-5 different faces acting as managers and they never smile at you. They will just be walking here and there and never bothered to check on you. Again, this is not how someone would expect while paying 4000+ bucks. The lady at the reception was very welcoming and addressing any issues though. The staffs are poorly trained on how to treat the guests, they most of the time have no clue on some simple questions you ask. I was sent back from the breakfast queue for not having a breakfast coupon. And coupon is nothing but you collect a piece of paper from reception. Come on, why don’t they just call up the reception and confirm, rather make me walk to reception. House keeping staffs are efficient. Ayurvedic spa is a big joke. We wanted to do a head massage and foot massage which was listed in their brochure/pamphlet. But when we went to check on that, the person there said they do only full body massage and no head massages and stuffs. I am not sure then why do they put that in their service list. And I saw the two spa person-in charge sitting idle for the whole day there. Infact I have not seen a single person being serviced in the 3 days I spent there. The hotel management should seriously consider on keeping this spa. I in fact chose this resort to get some spa done, but was disappointed. Swimming pool is nicely designed. Would have been even better if there was somebody to clean it time to time. Most of the time, it had some dust and garbage’s in it. While we were there, a large group was having a day package and they used the pool. But after they went, the pool was not cleaned and neither the filter was turned on, so we were left with a used up and unclean pool for our usage. Overall, the property is excellent, but if the management does something about how it is being run, then it will be one of the best places around to stay.
