Ginger Katra

Very pleasant and cosy stay even in cold February month. Rooms are having hot and cold Air Conditioning facility. Staff over there is very helpful. Food served during breakfast was also very delicious. Really enjoyed our stay over there.

Have stayed there for two days with family. No doubt rooms were spacious but you can’t expect chain like ginger has such a below average rooms. Rooms had orange paint with plaster coming out. Lights were so dim.Corridors were noisy n apart from dirty towels they didn’t have any amenities to provide not even a common dental kit. Bathrooms were dirty. I had booked online otherwise would have left after seeing property n rooms. Mostly all the good hotels in Katra give pick n drop to helipad or Banganga on complimentary basis. But here they charge you for this too. Service was poor. Not worth for money.

The main reason people come to Katra is for Vaishno devi trip -which is about 2-3 kms from this hotel - autos are easily accessible. I have stayed in Other Ginger hotels - this is a little below par - but i have tried other hotels around this place and most of them are like this only. you will be ok if you dont expect "fancy amenities". I was scared reading the reviews that staff was rude - but i had a pleasant experience - Mr Manish and a 'hoody man' at front desk were all smiles and helpful. Overall - i may consider this hotel again on my next trip.

Very Pathetic Service by Ginger Katra Hotel and their staff and failed to provide HOT Water in this shivering COLD season. We are with small kid and booked this hotel for three nights ,by looking the good aminities as in this Cold weather we dnt need to be suffer, however it's truly said " Naam Bada Kaam Chota". they can't provide us the Hot water we asked them to refund us and we wud have gone to other but the behaviour of Manager was so rude and even the staff started misbehaving .Very disappointed with the so called brand Ginger but sorry can't even provide basic amenities to customers!! We are travel freak people, have travel in each part of the country and experienced with all kinds of Hotel services from Basic to World Class Hotels but trust me , the experience given by so called 3star Hotel is ever Ginger I won't recommend this Hotel at all especially for Families. Worst experience ever!!!!

Do not book here. Only thing good was the staff. Lift didn't work, we were put up on 1st floor. Food was bad. We were there from 26th to 28th booked 2 rooms for the stay. Anyone walking/talking outside the room in corridors can clearly be heard and that will disturb your sleep. We checked out at 7.30 AM, enquired if we can get some breakfast by 6.30, we were told not possible, so luckily for us we bought bread and butter from a shop and had that before leaving. Food has to be paid in cash on every order. Towels were not clean and had rust spots. There are other so many better hotels in same price. I would definitely not recommend this to anyone. Trust me when you come back walking all the way from yatra and you have to again climb up stairs to reach your room, that is the worst feeling ever !
