Glitz Westend Hotel needs new Management. DO NOT STAY HERE! the room safe is not attached to the wall, so you can walk away with it.
My experience at the Glitz Westend Hotel Delhi started badly and got worst, the room was a surprise as the Glitz Westend Hotel Delhi is quite a large hotel (i will try to add pictures). This hotel is tired and in desperate need of maintenance, refurbishment and better trained Receptionist/Management Staff.
The non front line staff were helpful beyond word, those on Reception especially the Duty Manager at the Glitz Westend Hotel was an out right crook, i was told £195.00 (excessive) for 3 nights with breakfast when i returned to the UK i was charged over £200 on my credit card. I was not given a copy of the credit card transaction at the time, when i checked out i asked for a copy of the bill where the crooked Duty Manager of the Glitz Westend Hotel Delhi asked me if i really needed a copy, i replied "yes i did" , as i was running late i left the hotel and only noticed the Hotel Bill on my return to the UK.
The Duty Manager of the Glitz Westend Hotel Delhi who quoted the nightly rate also arranged a taxi 1500IR for half day from 10am i arrived back at the Hotel at 1.30pm where i witnessed what looks like an argument with the Taxi driver, It turned out that the 1500IR i agreed to pay the Taxi Driver was kept by the crooked duty Manager at the Glitz Westend Hotel Delhi and only a proportion was given to the Taxi Driver who was told to take me to a certain place when i had told the crooked Duty Manager at the Glitz Westend Hotel Delhi i wanted to visit 3 locations. The crooked Duty Manager at the Glitz Westend Hotel Delhi then turn to me and said i had only booked for half day and i went to other location, i pointed out that it was 1.30pm, and i came back because the location i wanted to visit were not as expected.
The crooked duty Manager at the Glitz Westend Hotel Delhi refused to pay the Taxi Driver who unhappily started to walked out the hotel, i went after the Taxi Driver who explained that he needed more money for the journey i asked him how much and payed him in front of the shameless Duty Manager of the Glitz Westend Hotel Delhi and the other staffs.
The following day i asked for a Taxi Driver i was charged 1500IR again and this time i witnessed the crooked Duty Manager ( i had asked one of the receptionist to arranged the Taxi when the crooked Duty Manager of the Glitz Westend Hotel Delhi took over) handing the Taxi Driver 300IR the Taxi Driver was very reluctant to take the money as he wanted more, i got into the taxi and asked the driver how much money he had been given, the driver was reluctant to tell me but i noticed how unhappy he was, i offered to pay him extra at the end of the journey which caused him a lot of embarrassment.
I chose the Glitz Westend Hotel Delhi because the Hotel i had booked was in a very rough area of Delhi and it was getting late, we could not find the original hotel, when i remembered i was sent an email changing the address of the hotel, the area was so bad i asked the taxi driver to take me to the Glitz Westend Hotel Delhi as i had passed it on the way from Delhi airport.
Sitting in the reception area was the only pace the wi-fi worked, The food in the restaurant was disgusting, i walked into the restaurant where one guest warned me not to eat the food, i only had fruit, restaurant staff were first class the food was not their responsibility. The water pipe under the sink leaked continuously creating a small lake on the floor, the walls were blown from the water damage, the small fridge in the room was old and battered, the tv stations were non english stations, you had to pay extra for english stations.
I was sat in reception curled up on the seat with my shoe resting about an inch away from the table, when a rude uneducated woman shouted at me to get my shoe of the table, the table was dirty with water marks and stains plus empty bottles all over it, yet all she saw was me.
considering that the Glitz Westend Hotel Delhi is an International Hotel it should have a better business model and customer care procedure.
