  • Stay at Swaran Palace

Our stay at the hotel was the briefest. We checked out the very first day we checked in due to a lack of clean water availability. Mud water was running through the tap and the h Water heating system was not working. The whole hotel was having this problem. Not only did the hotel not inform us about this issue when we checked in, we also heard clients complaining that this condition is continuing for 2-3days now.

Never choose for stay in Swaran Palace. The name of this hotel doesn't match with the very bad behaviour of the management, mr. Khan and mr.Sardar. I have been recently guest of this hotel. The hotel and the staff are ok. Rooms are reasonably clean, though the bathroom could be cleaner. But mr Khan and mr Sardar are 2 big liars, dishonest, desinterested in the guests comfort, very rude and very impolite. It's mentioned on their website that there is hot water available 24 hours per day, but forget it. It 's an illusion. Even when you call them by phone, already undressed in the bathroom, and call that there is no hot water, they insist that there is hot water and then they call off in your ear. The most bad, low mentality behaviour from a hotel management. I had to face this problem with my recently stay in this hotel. And this misery lasted 2 days. Standing in the shower for more then 1 hour, undressed, cold, I had to phone and yell 3-6 times for hot water. Everytime telling me: " in 10 minutes, in 10 minutes". But forget it. They even managed to cut off the phone call in my ear. It couldn't have been more rude and impolite. By checking out I asked them for compensation for the misery and their rude behaviour, even then they only behaved more rude. I always recommended this hotel to my friends and family, but never more.

Even my stay was almost free, but NOT worth paying the tariff and staying over here. An attitude of staff is almost at high. You ask for any room service they have recorded message 'it can't be or NO. Even you ask for refilling the water, they will make such a face that if you have for their Kidney or Internet Banking password. Look for other option but definitely not this hotel.

The hotel has no kitchen and no restaurant!!! Service is pathetic. There is a skeleton staff.. One man!!! Old man at reception is a grumpy unhelpful grouch. Only plus is proximity to market. Steer clear of this dump

Our experience was disappointing from the beginning. We had a booking for 3 rooms prior to our arrival and we were pushed towards taking 2 rooms for the cost of 3 at reception. There was no hot water and the bathroom had many fruit flies in all 3 rooms. As we were checking out, we were quite rudely told that EFTPOS payments were not possible and that payments had to be made in cash all while the hotel staff slammed the receipt and pen on the table in front of us. Definitely not the service and experience expected of a hotel rated 4 stars. We had a second booking at this hotel for later in the week and we opted to revise our booking and not return.
